Linda R. Greene RN, MPS, CIC, FAPIC, has over 25 years’ experience in infection prevention and healthcare quality. Currently she is Manager of the Infection Prevention Program at UR Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. Linda has served as national faculty for several Health care – Associated infection projects Linda has coached teams on patient safety, sustainability, cultural change, and team work. She has served in various APIC leadership capacities at the state, local, and national level.She has served on the APIC Board of Directors as Secretary, APIC’s Public Policy Committee, and the Nominating and Awards Committee. She was the 2017 president of APIC. Linda was the APIC Representative to the ICHE Compendium papers on SSI and VAE. She was editor of the 2014 CAUTI Implementation Guide and has been lead author on other APIC Implementation Guides and Position Papers. She has authored or coauthored several textbook chapters and articles for peer-review nursing journals. Linda has served as a member on several advisory councils including the New York State Advisory Panel on Public Reporting of HAIs, the CDC VAE Surveillance Task Force, and the Surveillance Definition work group. She has lectured extensively at the state, national, and international level.
