Min-Chi Lu is professor of medicine and chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Medicine, China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan. He is also attending physician at the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine in China Medical University Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan.
Professor Lu graduated from China Medical University in 1989, and obtained his PhD from the Michigan State University, USA, in 1996. After completing his residency and fellow training in internal medicine (infectious diseases) at China Medical University Hospital, he had served as chairman of Infectious Diseases Division and director of Infection Control Team at Chung Shan Medical University Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan.
Professor Lu has research interests in the fields of bacterial pathogenesis, the spread of multidrug resistant pathogens, infection prevention and control measures, and antimicrobial stewardship. Currently, he serves as supervisor of the Executive Council of the Infectious Diseases Society of Taiwan, as well as trustee of the Executive Council of the Infection Control Society of Taiwan.
